Green business habitat in the NC mountains

I want to share news about two RFPs for Clean Diesel projects that were recently announced by the state (NC DENR) and by the US EPA. Please contact me if you are in WNC and considering applying for one of these grants. If you would like to discuss project feasibility, Land-of-Sky staff may be able to help.

First, NCDENR, Division of Air Quality has RFPs now open for On-Road Mobile Projects and Off-Road Projects. Learn more here. Deadline is January 17, 2011.

Now, here's the email notice for the EPA's RFP from the National Clean Diesel Campaign:

EPA's National Clean Diesel Campaign recently opened a grant competition to solicit applications for approximately $32 million in funding for clean diesel activities. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is posted on the NCDC website and contains details regarding eligibility, program guidelines and submission instructions.

The RFPs will be open for approximately 70 days, closing on January 13, 2011. EPA plans to award the grants resulting from this competition in May 2011.

National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program, contains funding dedicated to the deployment of EPA-verified and certified technologies. Three information sessions will be offered on November 9 & 10, 2010. Specific times and registration information can be found at NCDC Grants and Funding. For all other questions and/or inquiries regarding this RFP, please submit in writing to CleanDiesel@epa.gov, or call 1-877-NCDC-FACTS.
