Ned, discussions regarding the development of shale gas resources are in need of a focus that would benefit from your input. One of the threats that renewable energy must address is the continuation of relatively low cost natural gas. Building these lower costs into the evaluation of investment returns for projects reduces the project's benefits. Absent a national energy policy that might include a cost for carbon and portfolio standards, the development of energy efficiency and renewable energy resources may be delayed in their deployment.
